As a makeup artist, I tend to try a wide variety of products, tools, tricks, etc. when it comes to the application of makeup.
I had different brushes up until a year ago when I first tried oval makeup brushes.
But now I’m head over heels.
Get these first, then upgrade later: Oval Makeup Brush Set
The oval brushes have up to 10 times as many individual fibers as conventional brushes so they seriously feel like silk as you apply makeup.
They might look weird or tricky, but don’t give them that much power!
It’s worth the extra time it will take to learn how to use them – AND
They are more sanitary because they are typically not made of animal hair like most brushes are.
That means they are cruelty-free, people.
You know I love that.
Use the biggest brushes to apply your foundation, bronzer and highlighter in circular motions.
The smaller ones are for your eye color application and concealer.
I like this review from Jackie Aina – you can learn to properly apply here.
There are a lot of oval brush brands out there – I haven’t tried them all, but I do believe in good quality.
You don’t need as much product when you use these brushes.
Also, be sure you glide softly, don’t press down.
I started out as a skeptic and I bought a cheap set of oval brushes from Amazon, but I’m now very impressed with them and I’m going to invest in some Artis brushes this year.
Let me know your thoughts!
Have you tried these brushes yet?
