With all the hub bub going on with NYE resolutions and healthy lifestyle changes,
I figured it would be the perfect time to share one of our FAVORITE energy bite recipes with you!
I make these each week and pop them in the fridge for my fiancé and I to snack on…
We both have QUITE a sweet tooth – so we’ve found these help us avoid grabbing something unhealthy.
And they are DELICIOUSSSSSS.
I mean, seriously – WAY better than indulging in a candy bar, cookie or soda!
I N G R E D I E N T S
1 cup of old-fashioned oats (dry oatmeal)
½ cup of Peanut Butter
½ cup of Ground Flax Seeds
1/3 cup of Honey
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
1 tablespoon of Chia Seeds
Either 1/3 cup of M&Ms or Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Additions or Substitutions:
2/3 cup of coconut flakes
A scoop of vanilla protein powder
D I R E C T I O N S
1. Mix all of the ingredients together.
2. Roll into 1-inch balls and chill in the fridge for an hour.
(SIDENOTE: I am hopelessly in LOVE with my Ninja Kitchen System with Auto-IQ Boost…
Why?! It also comes with a Blend & Prep Bowl so you can make cookie dough –
or ENERGY BITES, of course, in under 30 seconds.)
There’s nothing wrong with mixing it by hand!
I’ve always done that until this month when I got the Ninja mixer set.
It makes food prep so much quicker and less messy.
I certainly hope you enjoy these healthy little snacks as much as we do!
I’ve tried so many different recipes and none compare to this one.
Please feel free to share your favorite protein bite recipe in the comments!
AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF THESE! 🙂
